New well comes with two new donations

North Hastings Community Fish Hatchery discovered in 2020 that their wells were not generating enough water for the water circulation process used at the hatchery.  A fourth well had to be added, at considerable cost to the hatchery.

Quinte Elk Restoration Committee makes second donation to Fish Hatchery this year

Dave Locke from the Quinte Elk Restoration Committee presented Kevin Vance, chair of the North Hastings Community Fish Hatchery, with a generous donation of $650 on Dec. 7. This was in addition to the $1,500 the group made to the hatchery earlier this year.

Egg collecting a great success on Ashby Lake!

Students help stock trout in Paudash and Limestone Lakes

A total of 17 students from the Northern Outdoors Studies class at North Hastings Highschool kept busy on Sept. 22 helping NHCFH volunteers transfer lake trout safely from the hatcherry to both Paudash and Limestone Lake.
