At this year’s Annual General Meeting, we celebrated the incredible achievements of our Hatchery volunteers, who have reached the milestones of 5, 10, and 15+ years of volunteering with us. Thank you for all that you have done to make the Hatchery a success over the years – we couldn’t have done it without you!
The North Hastings Community Fish Hatchery is grateful to the members of the Paudash Lake Conservation Association (PLCA) for their donations to support the Hatchery. When the continuing pandemic required the cancellation of the Hatchery’s annual dinner, the PLCA started raising money online to support the ongoing care of fish being raised at the Hatchery.

North Hastings Community Fish Hatchery discovered in 2020 that their wells were not generating enough water for the water circulation process used at the hatchery. A fourth well had to be added, at considerable cost to the hatchery.

Dave Locke from the Quinte Elk Restoration Committee presented Kevin Vance, chair of the North Hastings Community Fish Hatchery, with a generous donation of $650 on Dec. 7. This was in addition to the $1,500 the group made to the hatchery earlier this year.
