Join our dedicated team of volunteers at the North Hastings Community Fish Hatchery and play an active role in preserving and enhancing the aquatic ecosystems of the Bancroft region. Our volunteers are essential to our mission, contributing to various activities that support fish stocking, community education, and environmental stewardship.
Volunteer Opportunities:
Fish Rearing and Stocking: Assist in the cultivation and release of native fish species, such as brook trout and lake trout, into local lakes to promote sustainable fishing and biodiversity.
Community Events: Support fundraising and outreach events, including our annual Fish Fry, Pig Roast, and Live Auction, which are vital for generating funds and fostering community engagement.
